Terms of use
The agreement between you and whoever runs this service. Plain English, and short enough to actually read before you agree to it.
1Who this is with
Aether is operated by an individual based in Sri Lanka, reachable at mathishagammanpila91@gmail.com. Using the service means accepting these terms. If you are using it for a company, you are confirming you may agree on that company’s behalf.
2What the service is
Financial planning software: three-statement models, budgets against actuals, thirteen-week cash forecasting, scenarios, and a set of tools for small businesses covering credit ledgers, payables, stock and tax estimates. It does arithmetic on figures you supply and shows you the result.
3Your account
You need an account to keep anything. Give accurate details, keep your sign-in to yourself, and tell us if you think someone else has it. Each organisation is a separate workspace, and whoever owns it decides who else may see it.
The guest model needs no account. It runs in your browser and keeps nothing, which also means there is nothing to recover once you close it.
4Your data stays yours
Everything you enter belongs to you. No ownership of it is claimed, it is not sold or shared, and it is not used to train anything. It is stored and processed only to run the service for you. What is collected and how it is protected is set out in the privacy notice.
5What you agree not to do
Do not try to reach another organisation’s data, break the tenant separation, or probe the service for weaknesses without asking first. Do not upload anything unlawful, or anyone else’s personal data that you have no right to hold. Do not resell access. Automated use at a volume that degrades the service for others is not on either — writes are rate limited, and persistently working around those limits is grounds for suspension.
If you find a security problem, report it to the address in section 1 rather than publishing it. You will get a reply.
6This is not professional advice
The service computes what you tell it to compute, and that arithmetic is tested. It is still not an accountant, a tax adviser or an auditor, and it does not know your circumstances. Forecasts are estimates built from your own assumptions; tax figures are estimates and are labelled as such on screen. Have anything that matters checked by a qualified professional before you file it, sign it, or take it to a bank.
7Availability
This is a small service run by one person. It is not sold with an uptime guarantee, and it may be unavailable for maintenance or for reasons outside anyone’s control. Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose — the export and print views exist for exactly that.
8Ending it
Stop using the service whenever you like, and ask for your workspace to be deleted at the address in section 1. Access may be suspended or ended for a serious or repeated breach of section 5; where it is reasonable to do so, you will be told first and given a chance to get your data out.
9Liability
The service is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, there is no liability for indirect or consequential loss, for lost profit, or for decisions made on the strength of a figure the service produced. Nothing here limits liability where the law does not permit it to be limited.
10Governing law, and changes
These terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka, and its courts have jurisdiction. If they change, the date at the top changes with them, and anything material will be said by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that is how you accept the change.
