Cash flows are assumed to land at the end of each period; the first line is period 0 (undiscounted).
IRR is solved numerically. If your cash flows change sign more than once, multiple IRRs can exist — trust the NPV profile over the single number.
Payback shown is simple (undiscounted) with the discounted payback alongside where it exists.
